The new public event in Warzone 2.0, Data Heist, is exclusive to Ashika Island and takes place in every match during the second circle collapse. Players will need to locate and hack into one of the three available uplink stations to gather intel.

However, the uplink stations are guarded by Shadow Company AI soldiers who can disrupt the download process. Killing these AI soldiers will speed up the download, while enemy players can contest the area or use the DDOS field upgrade to halt the process.

Expect intense competition at these locations and be ready for a fight before attempting a Data Heist on Ashika Island.

How to Complete the Warzone 2 Data Heist Public Event step by step :

To complete the Warzone 2.0 Data Heist Public Event, you’ll need to first keep an eye out for a yellow, dotted circle that appears on your tac map. This circle indicates the general location of the computer you need to interact with. Once you navigate to the inside of the circle, the objective will appear on your map once you’re close.

Next, approach the laptop and interact with it to start the data upload process. Enemy AI will begin pouring in, and you’ll need to defend the laptop while the data uploads. Remember to stay within range of the laptop, as getting too far will negate the upload process. Also, if enemies get too close to the computer, the upload will stop, so make sure to eliminate them to resume the process.

While the upload process can be lengthy and leave you vulnerable, completing it will grant you access to decent rewards. Be sure to take out every enemy AI you encounter, as this will help speed up the upload process. With these tips in mind, you’ll be well on your way to completing the Warzone 2.0 Data Heist Public Event.

Warzone 2 Data Heist rewards

Completing a Data Heist in Warzone 2 rewards players with bonus XP, cash, and a random piece of Tactical Equipment, which can be crucial in securing victory in Resurgence. Players brave enough to tackle multiple uplink stations will receive even greater rewards, including additional cash, XP, and a random Killstreak or even an Advanced UAV.

Keep in mind that Data Heists won’t be available on Ashika Island at launch, but will be an in-season release. Overall, Data Heists are an exciting addition to the Resurgence formula and promise to add an engaging element of competition to Season 2.
